How much do you charge?
The fee for an event really depends on the type of event you are having. It's always best to discuss your needs first. Once I know that, I can give you an exact quote.
Will you meet with us?
Absolutely. The best way to understand your needs is to talk to you and find out how we can work together and make your event a success. My initial consultation is a great time to meet each other. You can then see if I am the right DJ for you.
Do you take requests?
Requests are always welcome. we have learned over the years that some families have special songs they love to dance to. If there is a request I don't have, I will get it for you at no extra charge.
Do you have a contract?
Yes a legal contract protects both parties involved. With a contract everything is spelled out so there are no hidden surprises. You should Never do business with a DJ that wants your business but will not offer or discuss a written contract with you.
What happens if you can't perform?
In the unlikely event that I could not make an event, I do work with other professional disc jockeys that may be able to fill in.
How long have you been in the business? Do you carry Insurance?
Ten years of experience, with full Liability and Personal Property Insurance
What do you wear?
For weddings, a tuxedo is worn unless otherwise stated by the bride and groom. For most casual events a shirt and tie are worn, and for less formal events, a pair of slacks and polo shirt. If your event is a theme party, I can dress accordingly, given enough time to ensure the right apparel can be found.
Is there a charge for setup?
Never; this is a tactic that DJ's use to boost their price. However I do require entrance to the location at least 1 hour prior to the start time to ensure a prompt start to your event.
What kind of equipment do you have?
I have all professional audio and lighting equipment. With several key backup components just in case of a malfunction. My entire system is new within the past two years and is some of the most reliable equipment on the market today.
How much of a retainer fee is required?
I require a 20% (depending on the package) retainer fee for my services with the balance due on the day of your event.
Should we include you for meals?
Although it is not required, it is appreciated. Most events that I perform at are well over 6 hours including drive time and setup time.
